Our Story and Mission
Founded by Sensei Ron Jones in 1969, North Shore Judo has grown into a trusted martial arts and judo training community in Takapuna. Our mission is simple: provide safe, high-quality judo lessons that build confidence, discipline, respect, and lifelong fitness habits.
From first-time students to experienced judoka, every member receives structured coaching in a supportive environment. If you are searching for judo classes on the North Shore, our club combines technical instruction with a strong community spirit.
Coaches are backed by experienced high-belt members who actively share mat knowledge during drills, helping beginners and returning students improve faster while staying safe.
